Economic Development
Christy understands that it’s the creation of jobs, not resources, that’ll help get the Massachusetts economy back on track.
Taxes
Christy supports a planned Nov. 2010 ballot question to roll the Massachusetts sales tax from 6.25% back to 3%, which will be a major stimulus to Massachusetts’ economy.

Christy believes that state government has grown too big, and needs to be reduced.
Transportation/Tolls
Christy opposes further fare increases while continuing to improve the services provided by the MBTA.
Second Amendment Rights
As a firm believer in Second Amendment rights, Christy would seek to change the procedure for law abiding people to protect themselves by streamlining the state licensing process. Christy hopes to make it so that only the Massachusetts Secretary of Public Safety authorizes the issuance of a Class A license.
Immigration
Christy supports penalties for businesses that hire illegal immigrants. Christy does not support taxpayer-funded benefits, the issuance of driver's licenses or in-state college tuition rates for illegal immigrants.
Life Issues
My wife and I have two children. We would never have chosen to abort a child and cherish our good fortune.
Environment
Christy favors renewable energy research and implementation. Concerned with the doubling electrical costs for the residents of Cape Cod, Christy is not in favor of the current proposals to build wind farms in Nantucket Sound and Buzzards Bay.
State Gaming Laws
Christy supports the establishment of sports betting in Massachusetts, as it could be a valuable asset to Massachusetts’ economy depending on implementation details.
Criminal Justice
Christy is a strong law and order supporter. As Governor, Christy will terminate the Judicial Nominating Commission and appoint his own judges. Potential judges will be nominated with input from the District Attorneys. Christy favors the death penalty in Massachusetts. Christy supports full funding for the Quinn Bill. Police need to be well trained in the post 9/11 era.
